3-D Adaptive Landscape - Background

The 3-D adaptive landscape is similar to the 2-D landscape, but describes the fitness given two trait values instead of one. Conceptually, the adaptive landscape could be extended to include any number of traits, although representing such landscapes graphically quickly becomes impossible.
